Attention homeschoolers in the Midwest! Don’t miss the Midwest Homeschool Convention in our Cincinnati region on April 8–10, 2010, at the Duke Energy Convention Center in downtown Cincinnati—just 25 minutes away from the Creation Museum. The event will attract thousands of homeschoolers, has 200 workshops/seminars, and will feature a large exhibit hall.
As you go to the conference website, see the section on getting Creation Museum tickets.
Many of you know that one of the countries that we have been attempting to minister in is Japan. I spoke there again last year (and we videotaped those talks, which are available through a creation group in Japan—see this PDF flyer), and AiG speaker Carl Kerby also had a speaking tour of Japan last year. I really have a burden for that nation, where less than 1% of the people would call themselves Christians—and of that number, many do not accept the book of Genesis as written.
I wanted to let you know of a family from our area (northern Kentucky) who are now missionaries in Japan (near Nagoya), David and Marcy Crane. They (and their four children) are avid AiG supporters, and have toured our museum a few times—they are currently in the States to continue to raise funds so they can return to Japan in the spring, Lord willing.
David spoke to our staff last week—see the photos taken of him inside our auditorium.
Please consider supporting the Crane family. They have raised more than 75% of their support. So, please help them make up the difference and help get them back to Japan.
The preaching of the Cross is to them that perish foolishness
(1 Corinthians 1:17–18) For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
Our job is to plainly preach the Gospel, the lost and saved are revealed by their view of the Gospel, the lost find it foolish, but the saved see it as the power of God.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
