Bodie Hodge responds to a man from England regarding the way we can know dinosaurs and men lived together and the solutions to any problems with that view.
On the subject of scientists not being able to know if Dinosaurs died millions of years ago because they weren’t there to witness them dying, rather beggars beleif, i assume you may have heard in passing about carbon dating? or is that made up for the purpose of decieving religious folk?
Also if they were present 6000 years ago would that not have made humans life rather hard, as the abundance of twenty foot tall killing machines may have made farming, building and indeed any aspect of life very difficult indeed. i would be very greatful for an answer

The issue is whether you trust a perfect God when He speaks on the creation He eyewitnessed or if you trust imperfect men when they make up stories about the past. It would be illogical to think imperfect men could be trusted over a perfect God. I simply don’t have that kind of faith in men. Here is a good article on this: A Young Earth—It’s Not the Issue!

No offense, but you apparently don’t know much about carbon-14 dating. Carbon-14 can only give a date of about 50,000 to 100,000 years maximum due to its short half-life—less than 6,000 years. Please see Doesn’t Carbon-14 Dating Disprove the Bible?
Also, creationists have been using carbon-14 to undermine alleged “millions of years” dates. A carbon-14 isotope will completely decay in ~100,000 years. Thus, if carbon-14 remains in a rock sample “proven” 200 million years old (by, e.g., uranium decay or potassium-argon), there are clearly flaws in at least one of the dating methods! Please see Carbon-14 where it shouldn’t be!

What makes you think that dinosaurs were “killing machines” that would wreak havoc? I suggest you’ve watched too much Jurassic Park. Imagine, someone in the future, looking back as us saying “how could man have survived with the massive numbers of ‘killing machine’ lions around?” Besides, originally dinosaurs were vegetarian (Genesis 1:30). It wasn’t until after the Curse that some of them became meat eaters.
Also, why do you think they were in abundance? The nature of the fossil record reveals relatively few big dinosaurs and the average size of all dinosaurs was that of a large sheep or bison? It isn’t too difficult when you put it into perspective. Even James 3 indicates that man tamed reptiles:
All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed and have been tamed by man (James 3:7).
So it wouldn’t surprise me if some dinosaurs were even used by man. I want to encourage you to study this further.
Kind regards in Christ,
