Deaf Days 2020
Mark your calendar! On October 10–11, 2020 enjoy Deaf Days at the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter.
We work hard to ensure both the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum are friendly towards all our valued guests, no matter when they come to visit. But once each year here at our two Christian themed attractions in Northern Kentucky, we host an event especially for those in the Deaf community. That event is Deaf Days, taking place this year on October 10–11. Both days feature Deaf volunteers and interpreters, available to assist you.
- 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Explore the life-size Noah’s Ark, including three decks of exhibits, two theaters (ASL interpreted and closed-captioned), and more. Head outside to enjoy our spectacular grounds, Ararat Ridge Zoo (which features a kangaroo walk-about, sloths, camels, and more), and take the kids to our state-of-the-art playground, designed for children of all abilities.
- 12 p.m. Discover the truth of God’s Word with a Deaf presentation by Calvin Farley in the Answers Center (voice interpreted for hearing guests).
Sunday October 11 at the Creation Museum
- 11:00 a.m. Worship our Creator and Savior during a special Deaf-led worship service.
- 1:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m. Explore the museum, including a walk through biblical history (featuring brand-new exhibits), dinosaurs, insectarium, 4D special effects theater (closed-captioned), and planetarium shows in our completely upgraded Stargazer Planetarium (closed-captioned, planetarium shows are a separate ticket). Stroll through our beautiful botanical gardens, meet the animals in Eden Animal Experience, and stop to play with the kids on our extensive playground, designed for children of all abilities.
