The Magnificent Tiger

Cat Kind

on January 30, 2008

The tiger is from the “cat” kind.

It is easily recognized by its beautiful color and coat. Its striped fur provides a perfect way to hide in tall grass or among the trees in the forest.

  • No two tigers have the same stripe pattern.
  • Tigers communicate with each other by rubbing heads, roaring, purring, and grunting.
  • Like most cats, tigers sleep 16 to 20 hours a day. They love to stretch out and nap in the sunshine.
