Caretaker of the World

Jesus told a crowd of worried people why they should take a deep breath and stop worrying. God cares for everything that He created: “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” (Matthew 6:26).

Jesus Teaching

That’s a really important lesson. You see, God cares about every living thing around you, and He cares even more about you. Some creatures don’t seem like they should matter to a great King who rules in heaven. But they do.

Whether they seem scary or weird or unimportant to us, God cares about them all. When He sent the Flood, He didn’t just take care of Noah and his family. He made sure that every kind of land-dwelling, air-breathing animal had a place on the Ark, too. None were left out. He kept them all alive.

If He protected such wacky creatures, large or small, beautiful or dull, we can be sure He’ll take care of us, too. That’s because God loves us far more than anything else He made (Matthew 6:26). That’s incredible!

Hey, Kids! Buddy Davis here.

If God cared about all those animals on the Ark, you can be sure He cares about you!

When your life seems hard, remember that God is always watching you and loves you. He wants you to tell Him your worries and trust Him (1 Peter 5:7).
