A Changing World, An Unchanging God

The past shows us just how much things change with time. The Flood rearranged the earth, and then an Ice Age brought a deep chill. Does anything stay the same? Can we count on anything to stay just like it was from year to year?

Well, if you look around our planet, the answer is no. Everything here keeps moving and changing.

But if you turn to the Bible, you will find something—or Someone—that does not change. You see, God’s Word tells us that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow (Hebrews 13:8). And that’s great news. Why? Because Jesus, our Creator, loves us the same from day to day. He’s always there when we need Him.

The same love that drove Jesus Christ to die on the Cross for our sins is still in His heart today. He will forgive anyone who admits his or her wrongs and trusts Him as Savior.

For the rest of our lives, we will continue to make mistakes and run into new problems.

But Jesus promises that He will be with us. “Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20).

We can count on Him always!
