Summary: The Apostle John wrote this last letter from the island of Patmos. It presents the Revelation of Jesus Christ and things that must soon take place. John addressed both a severe warning of devastating judgment and the eternal hope for everlasting joy. We see God’s final warning to sinners: judgment is certain, the world will end, and there will be tribulation and great persecution—unlike anything experienced before—which will include war, drought, famine, and disease. But through it all, Jesus will triumph in glory. Satan and his angels will be cast down forever. The old heaven and earth will pass away—and a new and perfect one will come forth.
About Jesus: Jesus Christ will return in glory as the King of kings. Anyone whose name is found in the Lamb’s Book of Life will inherit eternal life in the New Jerusalem, but unbelievers will be cast into the lake of fire.
