Author: Jude, half-brother of Jesus
Date Written: AD 66
Key People: Jude, early church
Summary: It is believed Jude was Christ’s half-brother. He lived and wrote at a time when Christianity was under great attack by apostates—false teachers sowing their lies among the early church. This letter was a passionate plea to believers to contend for the one true faith against these ungodly men who were denying that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Master. Jude also told the church to build up their faith, pray in the Spirit, stay in the love of God, and look for the mercy of Jesus Christ.
About Jesus: Jesus Christ is the one who is able to keep us from stumbling and will one day present all believers faultless before the throne of God.
