Tiny freshwater fairy shrimp have been discovered in the world’s hottest desert in Iran. Because these shrimp need water to survive, their eggs can lay dormant for years, even decades, between rare desert downpours. From an evolutionary perspective, how did the shrimp get there since there doesn’t seem to be any permanent water or groundwater in this region?

The question may stir up dust among evolutionary scientists, but a creation-based biblical perspective settles it. God created animals and humans to multiply and fill the earth. He gave animals, like these shrimp, special features to survive the dramatic climates of a post-fall, post-flood world. God created the earth to be inhabited—and it is inhabited everywhere.
