He is risen!

Today is Easter Sunday, when we specially celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the God-man, from the grave. There is no event so central to the Christian faith as the physical resurrection of Christ—it secures our present hope of forgiveness and new life in Christ and our future hope of life everlasting.

And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain. We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified about God that he raised Christ, whom he did not raise if it is true that the dead are not raised. For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied.

But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. (1 Corinthians 15:14–26)

(You’ll notice the Apostle Paul directly connects Christ’s death and resurrection with a historical Adam. Yes, the foundation of the gospel really is in Genesis!)

So how should we celebrate this greatest of all events? Well, I recently filmed a video sharing my thoughts on Easter traditions and how we can use this holiday to point kids toward the Savior. You can watch that video below:

I was raised on God’s Word from the time I was very young. I don’t remember a time when I didn’t know that Jesus’ death on the cross wasn’t the end but that, three days later, he rose again! I’m sure that’s true for many of you reading this. But have you ever stopped to think that, as a young child, you knew something that Jesus’ own disciples didn’t understand—at least not right away?

After Jesus’ death on the cross, his disciples scattered, hiding in fear for their own lives. We have no evidence in the Gospels that any of them expected Jesus to come back from the dead (even though he’d told them he would!). Even after the tomb was discovered to be empty, they still struggled to understand.

And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. (Matthew 28:17)

But when they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, they would not believe it. (Mark 16:11)

But these words seemed to them an idle tale, and they did not believe them. (Luke 24:11)

Then the other disciple [John], who had reached the tomb first, also went in, and he saw and believed; for as yet they did not understand the Scripture, that he must rise from the dead. (John 20:8–9)

Even in the midst of the heaviness of the cross, every Christian has a heart of joy and hope because we know what the disciples didn’t—Sunday morning came, the tomb is empty, and our Lord is risen to reign forevermore!

Yes, every single Gospel mentions that the disciples didn’t understand! It wasn’t until they saw the risen Lord, and ate with him and talked with him, that they believed and then began to boldly speak of him everywhere after the Holy Spirit arrived at Pentecost.

Every Good Friday, millions of Christians gather for a service to remember the sacrifice of our Lord on the cross. It’s a sober service, focused on the cost of our sin and the sacrifice that was necessary for us to be forgiven. But even in the midst of the heaviness of the cross, every Christian has a heart of joy and hope because we know what the disciples didn’t—Sunday morning came, the tomb is empty, and our Lord is risen to reign forevermore!

And keep in mind that what we celebrate at Easter is fulfillment of the promise in Genesis 3:15:

And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her seed;
He shall bruise you on the head,
And you shall bruise him on the heel. (Genesis 3:15 LSB)

A stunning new exhibit called Radiance has opened at the Creation Museum. It is so different from any other exhibit here at the museum and features special lighting effects and a unique way of teaching content.

So what is Radiance all about?

Simply put, it’s about identity.

Now, identity is a big issue with today’s generations (particularly millennials and Gen Z), as the LGBTQ worldview has permeated so many people’s thinking, causing much confusion. Not only that, but we live in a time when many of the younger generations have been indoctrinated to believe their worldview (including what they believe about gender, marriage, abortion, and so on) is really their identity. Therefore, if someone disagrees with their stance on these issues, they see that person as attacking their identity (and thus attacking them) rather than disputing their ideas—and they’re being taught to see it as actual violence against them.

Put another way: Today, even words are considered violent!

And many of the younger generations have been brainwashed to believe they have a right to respond to “violent” words with physical violence.

This indoctrination and confusion is purposeful, and it’s being displayed publicly for all to see. (For instance, consider the recent Senate hearing in the US where a reproductive health adviser, an OB-GYN, refused to say whether a man can become pregnant.)

We now see this verse from Isaiah playing out before our eyes:

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil,
Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness,
Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! (Isaiah 5:20 LSB)

It has occurred to me that what is really happening can be summed up this way: God is the Creator and therefore owns everything and defines everything. But man is wise in his own eyes and wants to be his own god (Genesis 3:5). But because man cannot create like God, he takes what God has created and redefines it in the opposite direction—thus, good is “evil” and evil is “good”; male can be “female” and female can be “male.”

Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes
And understanding in their own sight! (Isaiah 5:21 LSB)

It’s a sad state of affairs, but as Christians, we must stand for the truth. We need to be shining the light of God’s Word on such issues.

And that’s what we’re trying to accomplish with the Radiance exhibit, which focuses on helping visitors, especially young people, discover their true identity as being made in the image of God. Radiance uses immersive art, light effects, and interactive elements to explore themes of purpose, value, and identity rooted in the Bible and in Christ.

Through this exhibit, we teach the truth about gender (there are only two for humans: male and female) and the truth about what being made in the image of God means. That mankind is made in the image of God and therefore has infinite value—after all, God, through his Son, paid the penalty for our sin and thus provided the way of salvation offered to us.

Through this exhibit, we teach the truth about gender and the truth about what being made in the image of God means.

At the end of the exhibit, an interactive challenge is used to show how, when we trust Christ for salvation, each of us can uniquely radiate the truth of God’s Word and the gospel (and the truth concerning gender, marriage, and so on) to a lost world.

But here’s what I really think about the theory of evolution: It’s not real. It is not the way we got here. In fact, the life you see on this planet is really just a list of creatures God has allowed to live. We are not creations of random chance. We are not accidents. There is a God, a Creator, who made you and me. We were made in His image, which separates us from all other creatures.

By the way, without him, I don’t have any power. But with Him, the Bible tells me, I really can do all things—and so can you.

Whenever a believer passes away, I’m reminded of this verse:

Precious in the sight of the Lord
  is the death of his saints. (Psalm 116:15)

Something new is coming to the Creation Museum!

Last spring we opened our stunning Butterfly House, located near our unique Plants of the Bible Conservatory and beside the Creation Zoo. Guests have loved meeting our beautiful butterflies as part of the zoo and botanical gardens experience (Note: Because of the cost of the butterflies that need to be replaced every couple of weeks, the Butterfly House does require a separate ticket). And that experience is about to get even better with our Creature Feature exhibit house.

Located between the Butterfly House and the Plants of the Bible Conservatory, this exciting new exhibit area will showcase:

2026 is a monumental year as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation (US) and the 10-year anniversary of the Ark Encounter!

I thought it would be fascinating to compare the founding of the nation to the founding of the Ark Encounter.

Although there are vast differences between the two, there are a few similarities. Both were born from leaders who acted on deeply held convictions, produced tangible symbols pertaining to their beliefs, endured opposition and much criticism, and invested in a generational impact that would leave a lasting legacy.

The founders of the nation took great risks to act on their sincerely held beliefs (as reflected in words in the Declaration of Independence): “All men are created equal” and therefore have “certain unalienable rights” (life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness).

The founders of the Ark Encounter developed this project from sincere convictions regarding biblical authority. We received opposition and criticism from outside and within the church.

The founding fathers of the US, despite having diverse beliefs, acted on their faith and risked life and property to pursue their convictions so the nation could become a reality. They had a longterm generational vision, not just a vision for their immediate future.

Both the Ark Encounter and the US have physical symbols to remind future generations of the origin and history of these places and the importance of the messages on which the founders’ convictions were based. The vision will surely have a spiritual impact for generations to come.

For instance, the nation of America has founding documents, monuments, and national holidays.

The Ark Encounter has a massive physical structure (a replica of Noah’s ark as the largest freestanding timber-frame structure in the world) that teaches about faithfulness to God, God’s judgment and mercy, and the vital importance of the gospel message—a message of biblical authority and salvation.

The founding fathers of America were called rebels and traitors.

Those of us who founded the Ark Encounter were maligned in many ways.

Now, I admit I did my elementary, high school, and university education in Australia. So I didn’t learn much about American history. I’ve (with tongue in cheek) mentioned to conference-goers: “I know many Americans love to talk about their founding fathers having convictions, well, our Australian founders had convictions too—though they were convictions of a different sort, as Australia started primarily as a convict settlement.”

Having said all of that (and there are many more interesting comparisons we could make), it’s important to understand the following:

1. God ordained government.

   Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist have been appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists that authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves. (Romans 13:1–2)

   The purpose of government was to maintain law and order. But today, the government has overstepped into areas (e.g., marriage, sexuality, etc.) in which it should not be involved.

2. Ultimately (and no doubt the founders of America understood this), the government is not the answer to man’s problems, and legislation is not the answer to humanity’s problems.

   Please don’t misunderstand me. I believe we need more Christians with a Christian worldview on school boards, in governments, etc., to vote in accordance with a true biblical worldview. Sadly, secularists (who have an anti-God, anti-biblical worldview) have taken over many of those places, resulting in the secularization of our education system and nation.

3. Ultimately, the solution to man’s problems (and many of the US founding fathers would have understood this) is the truth of God’s Word and the saving gospel. And that’s what the Ark Encounter (and, of course, the Creation Museum and Answers in Genesis) is all about. This is reflected in the fact that our guest surveys consistently show that 70,000 people each year say that they trusted Christ as a result of the Ark Encounter, as well as 30,000 people each year at the Creation Museum. That’s massive! I don’t think many churches or organizations would see such a response as this. And this doesn’t include all the other things we do as a ministry that impact people with the gospel. For instance, 2,357 people responded to the gospel during our 40 Days of Christian Music festival in 2025.

Answers in Genesis has never been a political movement, yet we do want to impact lives, culture, and government.

A major difference between the ministry of Answers in Genesis and our government is that AiG has a very strict statement of faith. Our board and all fulltime staff members have to sign this very detailed document. Over the years, many people who have an anti-Christian worldview have been voted into government positions, and this has adversely impacted people’s lives and culture as a whole.

Answers in Genesis has never been a political movement, yet we do want to impact lives, culture, and government. And how do we do that? Well, I’ve always said that when we impact people for Christ, we will also impact other lives, culture, and government. This is because the people we impact will be witnesses to others, and some may get on school boards or hold political positions. In these positions, people can impact the culture by voting in accordance with their Christian worldview.

It’s important to understand that everyone has a worldview. There is no neutral position. If Christians don’t get into influential positions, then secularists will (and have) vote in accordance with their secular anti-Christian worldview.

For as he calculates in his soul, so he is. (Proverbs 23:7)

For there is no good tree which produces bad fruit, nor, on the other hand, a bad tree which produces good fruit. For each tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they pick grapes from a bramble bush. The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil. For his mouth speaks from the abundance of his heart. (Luke 6:43–45)

As we know, God’s Word teaches that a person is either for or against Christ, walks in light or darkness, and builds their house on rock or sand. In other words, no one is neutral. One’s beliefs determine one’s worldview, and that impacts every area of that person’s life, including how they vote on matters.

Now, different ministries/organizations have different missions. The mission of Answers in Genesis has always been one in which we:

• challenge the church to stand on God’s Word from the very first verse and equip God’s people to be able to defend the Christian faith and be effective witnesses for the gospel;
• teach Christians what it means to have a true Christian worldview founded in God’s Word, beginning in Genesis, and to be consistent in their thinking in every area as they apply this worldview; and
• challenge non-Christians concerning the truth of God’s Word and the saving gospel.

It is hearts and minds that impact a culture! Our ministry is to do all we can to impact hearts and minds for the Lord Jesus Christ.

As we are well into this 10th anniversary of the opening of the Ark Encounter and the 250th anniversary of the US as a nation, I just want to remind us that Answers in Genesis is involved in numerous outreaches to reach as many people as we can with God’s Word and the vital gospel message. Here is a list of many of the things we are involved in:

1. Two leading world-class Christian attractions, reaching around 1.5 million people each year;
2. Vacation Bible school program, which is used to reach over 1 million children each year;
3. Social media platforms that reach hundreds of millions of people;
4. Websites that enable tens of millions to access articles and other information each year;
5. Translation ministry that enables people in many different countries and different languages to have access to the information we produce;
6. Our Answers TV streaming platform with over 7,000 videos for all ages, which can be accessed from anywhere in the world;
7. Numerous conferences at the Ark and Creation Museum with tens of thousands attending;
8. Domestic and international outreach that impacts tens of thousands of people across the US and around the world each year;

10. Books and curricula for churches, homeschool, and Christian schools, influencing tens of thousands of people of all ages each year.

Not only do our guest surveys indicate that around 100,000 people respond to the gospel as a result of the attractions, but we regularly receive numerous testimonies from people of all ages who come to Christ as a result of God using Answers in Genesis. And many Christian leaders tell us they’ve never seen so many children respond to the gospel now that they are using AiG’s VBS program.

It’s really coming along! I’m excited to share another construction update with you regarding our Welcome Center at the Ark Encounter—it’s stunning!

There has been exciting progress over the last few weeks, despite the bad weather we’ve experienced. Our amazing Answers in Genesis fabrication team, exhibit artists, and many other team members have been hard at work on the new Welcome Center.

The exterior and interior are nearing completion as the artists work on all the hand-painting and interior detailing, while the fabrication team continues to install some of the large design elements—such as the custom-made capitals that go on top of the main pillars.

We can’t wait to welcome and serve even more guests in this beautiful new space. Stay tuned for more updates! It will be open very soon.

This building will also house our coming first-century Jerusalem model—an incredibly intricate and up-to-date model. You will be blown away by the level of accuracy and detail. It will be one of the best dioramas in the world.

I have a quiz for you today. Do you recognize these Australian animals? I recently took these pictures while wrapping up our time in major cities in Australia as part of the Gospel Reset Tour. It was such a blessing—but more on that after the quiz.

I’ll give you the correct answers at the end, but first I want to share a few stories from our incredible tour down under. The Lord really blessed this tour (involving myself, E.Z. Zwayne from Living Waters, Heidi St. John, and astronaut Barry Wilmore as speakers). We heard so many incredible stories, but I’ll share just three of my favorites:

• At the Brisbane conference, I met a man who was a student in one of the science classes I taught at Dalby High School (way back in 1975–76). He also said he was in Dalby Baptist Church with his parents in 1975 when I gave my first-ever creation apologetics talk. He was thrilled to attend the Brisbane conference.
• At all the conferences (but especially in Brisbane), I met people who told me they heard me speak back in the 70s and 80s when they were children, and now they had brought their families to the conference to hear me. Many told me their parents supported us financially and made sure their children learned the material we were teaching. They are now continuing that spiritual legacy for the next generation.
• One family told me they know someone who was in my science class in Dalby and that what I taught so impacted her, God used that to bring her to salvation.

We’ve all seen diagrams of the evolutionary tree of life: a common trunk that rises up before splitting off into various branches which split into even more branches. This tree supposedly explains the origins of every species from a universal common ancestor that lived untold millions of years ago. But is it accurate?

Textbooks, video programs, and nearly every natural history museum in the US would say that, yes, it is. But this idea of an evolutionary tree of life faces an insurmountable problem: There’s no mechanism by which to push evolution forward!

You see, to turn a single-celled organism into all the life forms we have today, you need a process that can create brand-new, functioning genetic information to code for all of the new features. But information only comes from other information! We’ve never observed information arising from non-information! There’s no law of nature that states this can happen. Quite the opposite, the law of biogenesis tells us life only comes from life! Yet evolution requires the accumulation of massive amounts of new information (and it has to be functional information for it to be of any evolutionary use!). But that’s never been observed.

The evolutionary “tree of life” isn’t accurate—it’s a fairy tale that’s unsupported by the observational evidence.

Most Christians know that our enemy, Satan, was originally an angel who served God before his pride led to rebellion and he was cast down to earth. But when did this event happen in history?

Some Christians put it between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2, but there’s not even a hint of this in the text and it puts angelic sin in God’s original “very good” creation, so we know that option isn’t correct (this idea was merely invented as a way to accommodate millions of years). And Exodus 20:11 rules out any such gap as everything, from Genesis 1:1 and onward, was created in six days. So when did it happen?

Well, I’ve been asked this question a lot over the years, and we recently filmed a short video where I answer this question, starting with the biblical text.

When it comes to answering common questions such as this one or “Where did Cain get his wife?” or “Where did the so-called races come from?”, we must always start with the Bible, not with our own ideas or with compromises that try to accommodate man’s ideas about the past.

There are so many more facets to the Answers in Genesis ministry than most people realize! Operating the world’s two leading Christian themed attractions means we’ve had to build a wide variety of teams to meet our guests’ needs—including our public safety team with our working canines. And that allows us to host a unique event: a K9 conference for law enforcement and others in public safety.

We recently hosted our fourth annual K9 conference at the Ark Encounter with a total of 50 K9 teams from across the United States participating in this four-day event. Throughout the conference, the K9s and their handlers engaged in over 30 scenarios set in various locations across the Ark Encounter property.

This conference helps K9 handlers from law enforcement and the private sector enhance their training, handling, and performance. Master trainers from across the country shared their expertise to improve the teams’ skills. Sessions included lectures and hands-on activities regarding the use of K9s, imprinting on various odors (including explosives and narcotics), scenario-based odor detection training, box work, individual and team challenges, and more! The K9s and their handlers also went through a stress-test obstacle course that filled the entire Answers Center.

This conference continues to grow every year as word spreads throughout the K9 handler community. Not only will this kind of training help save lives, but the officers who participated also had an opportunity (which was optional) to hear the gospel and the message of the truth of God’s Word. Praise the Lord!

We’re thrilled our Department of Public Safety can work with outside law enforcement to help all of them provide the best level of security they can in this troublesome world (even if atheists get mad that it’s Christians offering this world-class training!).

Please pray the Lord uses their time at the Ark—not just that they’ll be better equipped to serve as a result of the training they received, but that seeds of the gospel were planted and watered and will lead to an abundant harvest.

From the beginning of this ministry, I have given testimony of my parents raising their children to stand on the authority of God’s Word, never knowingly compromise God’s Word, and have a heart for reaching people with the gospel message.

I have testified many times of my father’s leadership of my family and how he led us to stand boldly on the Bible’s authority. We all saw our parents’ love for God and his Word and their heart for the gospel. I can’t emphasize the impact our parents had on our lives enough. As I’ve often stated, Answers in Genesis is part of the legacy of our godly parents.

What a blessing it was recently when I received the following testimony from a lady in Australia after she read the book that details the history of Answers in Genesis from my birth to the present. What I loved is that she testified to what I’ve always said about my parents. She wrote:

I recently ordered a copy of Ken Ham’s new book Miraculous! and have been absolutely astounded at what has been achieved from Ken’s very humble beginnings as a high school teacher.

For several years in the late 1970s, I attended the Acacia Ridge Presbyterian Church in Brisbane. Ken and Marylyn (Mally) and several of their young children were there, along with Ken’s sister Rosemary and her husband Paul, and their young twins, another sister Beverly (a friend of mine in the church youth group), and of course, Ken’s parents, Merv and Norma. On more than one occasion, I was invited to Merv and Norma’s home, probably for Sunday lunch. At the time, I was a trainee nurse at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane and a fairly young Christian.

As I have read the book, I have reflected on many things. Norma always said that when Ken was very ill with sepsis, she believed he would be healed and was destined to do great things for God. At times, Merv preached or spoke at the church, and I have never forgotten him reading the Scriptures one Sunday morning and stating that the reading of the Bible in a church service was the most important part of the whole service. Such godly people, and I am forever indebted to so many people who were influential in my life when I was a fledgling Christian.

In recent times I came across some children’s books written by Ken and purchased some for my grandsons—how wonderfully written they are and much appreciated by our family. I have since ordered more resources to give out at Christmastime to younger members of our family and friends—I am passionate that children should grow up with a knowledge of the Scriptures. I might also add that I have always been a believer in the literal biblical account of creation.

Some of the accounts in Miraculous! are nail-biting to say the least and a testament to faith, prayer, and the hand and provision of God.

As I read this testimony, the following words really stood out to me. She wrote that my father said that “the reading of the Bible in a church service was the most important part of the whole service.” I must admit I had forgotten that he often said that. After reading it, I could “hear” my father saying exactly that. But note the impact my father’s stand (and my mother’s stand too) had on this person so many years ago. And who knows how many more people were impacted by my parents—not counting the millions now impacted through Answers in Genesis. I know there had to be so many others impacted directly by their lives as they proclaimed and lived out the truth of God’s Word and the gospel.

As we are in the second month of this new year, I want to once again emphasize that Answers in Genesis is really an evangelistic biblical authority ministry. That’s always been our focus. In our day, the lies of evolution/millions of years have been a major part of the attacks on biblical authority, particularly on the authority of Genesis 1–11. This is why we have also specialized in providing resources to teach creation apologetics (as well as general apologetics) in regard to a defense of the Christian faith.

He was always emphasizing the authority of God’s Word.

Every time my father was reading scripture and he came across phrases like “it is written,” “thus says the Lord,” and so on, he would stop and talk about the authority of the Word of God. He was always emphasizing the authority of God’s Word. And depending on which translation you use, phrases like “thus says the Lord” or “thus says Yahweh” (LSB) occur 3–400 times throughout Scripture.

As we are in the early part of a new year, I thought it would be good to ponder some special verses from Scripture which remind us of the vital importance of the Word of God (all from the LSB):

All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be equipped, having been thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16–17)

Forever, O Yahweh, Your word stands firm in heaven. (Psalm 119:89)

Do not add to His words lest He reprove you, and you be proved a liar. (Proverbs 30:6)

So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. (Romans 10:17)

For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what pleases Me, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:11)

And ponder the events Nehemiah records:

And all the people gathered as one man at the square which was in front of the Water Gate, and they said to Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of Moses which Yahweh had commanded to Israel. . . . And he read from it before the square which was in front of the Water Gate from early morning until midday, in the presence of men and women, those who could understand; and all the ears of the people were attentive to the book of the law. . . . And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people for he was above all the people; and when he opened it, all the people stood up. Then Ezra blessed Yahweh the great God. And all the people answered, “Amen, Amen!” while lifting up their hands; then they bowed low and worshiped Yahweh with their faces to the ground. (Nehemiah 8:1, 3, 5–6 LSB)

Do you think we would have the patience to hear the Word of God read from early morning to midday? And consider this, when Ezra opened the book, “all the people stood up.” Wow! What reverence and respect for God’s Word!

Over the past 50 years, I have visited hundreds of churches from many different denominations. In some churches they sit down to sing and stand up to pray and read God’s Word. For some, they stand to sing and sit down to pray. In some churches they don’t even sit down! But when I read Ezra, I think, “Did they stand up for the whole morning while Ezra read from God’s Word?” Scripture tells us they stood for about six hours! Would any of us be prepared to do that today? I must admit with my chronic back issues, I couldn’t stand that long, but I think God would understand the effects of the fall causing me problems.

How many people in our churches do you think would have such reverence and respect of God’s Word as the people in Ezra’s day did? Now, please don’t get me wrong. I love music and love singing and praising God. But sometimes I wonder if the emphasis in a lot of churches today is much more on music than it is on the reading and preaching of the Word.

My favorite expositional preacher is Martyn Lloyd-Jones. He preached at Westminster Church in London during the last century. He was a phenomenal defender of the Christian faith and preached a lot on the importance of biblical authority. He greatly challenged the church on this topic. In one of his published sermons on the authority of Scripture based on Ephesians 6:14, he stated the following:

There can be no doubt whatsoever that all the troubles in the Church today, and most of the troubles in the world, are due to a departure from the authority of the Bible. And, alas, it was the Church herself that led in the so-called Higher Criticism that came from Germany just over a hundred years ago. Human philosophy took the place of revelation, man’s opinions were exalted and Church leaders talked about “the advance of knowledge and science,” and “the assured results” of such knowledge. The Bible then became a book just like any other book, out of date in certain respects, wrong in other respects, and so on. It was no longer a book on which you could rely implicitly. There is no question at all that the falling away, even in Church attendance, in this country is the direct consequence of the Higher Criticism. The man in the street says, “What do these Christians know? It is only their opinion, they are just perpetrating something that the real thinkers and scientists have long since seen through and have stopped considering.” Such is the attitude of the man in the street! He does not listen any longer, he has lost all interest. The whole situation is one of drift; and very largely, I say, it is the direct and immediate outcome of the doubt that has been cast by the Church herself upon her only real authority. Men’s opinions have taken the place of God’s truth, and the people in their need are turning to the cults, and are listening to any false authority that offers itself to them.

We all therefore have to face this ultimate and final question: Do we accept the Bible as the Word of God, as the sole authority in all matters of faith and practice, or do we not? Is the whole of my thinking governed by Scripture, or do I come with my reason and pick and choose out of Scripture and sit in judgment upon it, putting myself and modern knowledge forward as the ultimate standard and authority? The issue is crystal clear. Do I accept Scripture as a revelation from God, or do I trust to speculation, human knowledge, human learning, human understanding and human reason? Or, putting it still more simply, Do I pin my faith to, and subject all my thinking to, what I read in the Bible? Or do I defer to modern knowledge, to modern learning, to what people think today, to what we know at this present time which was not known in the past? It is inevitable that we occupy one or the other of those two positions.1

Wow! You would think he was preaching to the church today! This message he gave in the twentieth century is just as relevant in the twenty-first century. Really, this message he preached is the same message Answers in Genesis is preaching—and it’s the same message my father preached!

The solution to the social and moral issues and the solution for a lukewarm and compromising church is God’s authoritative Word and the gospel (there are, of course, exceptions). God’s Word and the gospel have always been the solution to man’s problems ever since Genesis 3, which we see in the prophecy in Genesis 3:15.

Millions of Americans visit national parks every year. And millions of Americans are indoctrinated with evolutionary and long-ages teachings by the explanatory signs at these attractions. You really can’t trust these signs—they certainly aren’t written from a biblical-worldview perspective. So how should you address these signs with your kids while you’re on vacation?

Well, here are my top three tips:

1. Use these signs as an opportunity to help kids understand that we all have the same evidence. We have the same rocks, the same canyons, the same arches, the same fossils. But we come to different interpretations because of our different starting points—either man’s word or God’s Word.
2. Use the signs as an opportunity to highlight the difference between historical and observational science. Observational science is directly testable, observable, and repeatable. Historical science is an interpretation of the past, and your worldview shapes your interpretation. Have fun reading signs and figuring out together which claims are based on observational science and which are based on historical science.
3. Teach your kids to ask good questions. When you read claims on signage, ask, “How do they know that?” or “What evidence are they using to support that?” Like I’ve taught thousands of kids over the years, when we see claims about the past that contradict God’s Word, we should ask, “Were you there?” And the answer is no—no scientist, no human being (including me!), was there, but God was. And he’s given us a perfect eyewitness account of the past in his Word. This account (creation, the fall, the flood, and Babel) gives us the framework we need to properly interpret the evidence we have in the present.

February 14 is Valentine’s Day, but I won’t discuss the history of this holiday as it may ruin it for you!

Instead, could you imagine your wife, fiancée, or girlfriend agreeing to go out with you for dinner on Valentine’s Day if you said to her, “You speak as one of the wickedly foolish women speaks,” and then you said, “My breath is offensive to [you]”?

I think that might be the end of that dinner plan!

But those are things Job said concerning his wife (see Job 2:10 and 19:17 LSB). Now, remember why he said what he did. When all the bad things happened to Job, his wife said, “Curse God and die!” (Job 2:9 LSB).

Job saw his wife’s words lacking wisdom and faith. That’s why he also said in verse 10, “Shall we indeed accept good from God and not accept calamity?” And that verse goes on to note: “In all this Job did not sin with his lips.”

He remained faithful to her.

The Scriptures make it clear that Job did not sin with all he said. So even though those words to his wife sound very negative, he obviously loved her and was committed to her. Despite his overwhelming suffering and his wife’s seeming bitterness for all that happened to them—after all, she lost children too—he remained faithful to her. From the text, it certainly seems she was still with him and bore him 10 more children after all his sorrows ended. Later on in Job, we get a sense of how faithful he was to her. One particular verse stands out that should challenge every man concerning how he should view his wife, fiancée, or girlfriend. This is the verse:

I have cut a covenant with my eyes; How then could I gaze at a virgin? (Job 31:1 LSB)

I love what theologian John Gill said about this verse:

Not to look upon a woman, and wantonly gaze at her beauty, lest his heart should be drawn thereby to lust after her; for the eyes are inlets to many sins, and particularly to uncleanness, of which there have been instances, both in bad men and good men. . . . As if he had bound himself by a covenant, made a resolution in the strength of divine grace, not to employ his eyes in looking on objects that might ensnare his heart, and lead him to the commission of sin; he made use of all ways and means, and took every precaution to guard against it; and particularly this, to shut or turn his eyes from beholding what might be alluring and enticing to him. . . . He made a covenant with his eyes, to prevent any impure thoughts, desires, and inclinations in him; for the eye affects the heart, and stirs up lust in it, and excites unclean thoughts and unchaste desires: this shows that the thought of sin is sin.1

What a great admonition for every male who takes his valentine out for Valentine’s Day. Don’t look on other women and lust in your heart. Remain pure like Job did. Even after his wife said things that hurt him, Job remained faithful and loved her, showing his total commitment to her as his wife. He only had eyes for her.

As we read in Ecclesiastes 9:9 LSB, “See life with the woman whom you love all the days of your vain life, which He has given to you under the sun.”

And for husbands, take this verse to heart: “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her” (Ephesians 5:25 LSB).

Men, I challenge you to treat your valentine like Job treated his—pursuing purity within yourself and remaining faithful, committed, and loving.

It’s no secret that many secular colleges and universities today (and, sadly, a number of compromising Christian colleges too) are little more than schools of leftist indoctrination. Because of the godless worldview that dominates secular education, many Christian parents and students look into Christian colleges—but it’s important to know that not all Christian schools are good choices!

Sadly, many (most, really) Christian schools have compromised on the truth of God’s Word. Instead of standing firm on biblical authority, many allow man to be the authority as they teach—or at least tolerate—evolution, millions of years, LGBTQ, critical race theory, and more. So how can you know whether a Christian college is a solid college that will build up your (or your child’s) faith or one that will subtly undermine it?

Well, I encourage you to start with three things.

1. Read their statement of faith. A vague or very short statement of faith could be a warning that the school has little theological depth and is therefore more likely to compromise on the truth of Scripture.
2. Spend time on their social media. Who are they platforming? What sorts of events are they hosting? What kind of language are they using—or not using? What commentary do they post about hot-button issues? All of these can give you an idea about what the college really believes and actively teaches the students.
3. Sit down with or interview someone at the institution if their statement of faith looks robust and biblical and if their social media doesn’t raise any red flags. Ask really probing questions about what they teach concerning creation and the age of the earth (don’t just ask if they believe God created—they will almost always say yes, even if they mean he created via evolution—ask very specific questions). And ask about various cultural issues. If they hesitate in answering, are vague, or are very wishy-washy, that’s a good indication they’ve compromised in some way. If you can, ask students what the college is actually like. This gives you a perspective other than what paid staff say!

In my 50 years of creation ministry, I’ve had many people tell me that God gave us “two books”—the Bible and nature—and that both are equally valid for discovering truth. But is nature really the 67th book of the Bible?

Well, it’s important to understand two things.

1. This claim is made to accommodate evolution and millions of years. Those who say nature is the 67th book are not talking about general revelation in the sense of Romans 1—that God’s existence and power are obvious to everyone through what he has made. Rather, they’re claiming man’s interpretation (i.e., evolution and millions of years) of the evidence is “the book of nature”—even though such ideas contradict God’s written Word!
2. Nature is cursed. We aren’t looking at the world as God made it. According to biblical history, we’re looking at a creation that was once “very good” but is now cursed with death and suffering (because of sin) and was judged by a global flood. We can’t look at this creation and figure out what happened in the past without the eyewitness revelation of the Creator (given in Genesis 1–11).

No, nature isn’t the 67th book of the Bible. Rather than accepting man’s ideas about the past and forcing them into Scripture, we must always start with Scripture first and allow God’s Word to be our authority.

At the Creation Museum, we have an exhibit throughout our portico that highlights dragon legends from history. But these stories represent only a fraction of the legends found around the world regarding scaly, dragon-like creatures. Do these stories have any grounding in reality?

Well, evolutionists have a hard time explaining the global prevalence of dragon legends. But in a biblical worldview, the similarity many of the descriptions bear to real creatures—dinosaurs—is not surprising.

Dinosaurs were created alongside mankind on day six of creation week, and two of each kind survived Noah’s flood on the ark. After the flood, men and dinosaurs lived alongside each other until the eventual extinction of the dinosaurs. But it’s certainly possible the stories of people and dinosaurs existing together live on in dragon legends (even if these stories are somewhat exaggerated at times!).

But can we match dragon legends with actual dinosaurs known from the fossil record? Joel Leineweber, a paleoartist and our VP of design at AiG, believes we can, and he presented his research in a live presentation at the Creation Museum that was later posted to our YouTube channel. A big evolutionary problem just got bigger!

In the evolutionary worldview, birds evolved from dinosaurs—first emerging around 150 million years ago, according to an evolutionary interpretation of the fossil record. But evolutionists have a problem—a set of footprints that are “nearly indistinguishable” from fossil and modern bird footprints and yet are a supposed 60 million years older than birds!

To help solve this evolutionary puzzle, and to ensure the footprints really are “birdlike,” the researchers used a new AI model to analyze and categorize the footprints. This AI is designed to be “a mathematical unbiased point of view . . . to assist human experts [in] interpreting the data.” And what did this unbiased AI conclude? After analyzing 2,000 dinosaur tracks, it concluded these “ambiguous” ones resembled those from . . . birds!

Those ambiguous cases proved the most revealing. Several three-toed footprints more than 200 million years old clustered with fossil and modern birds rather than with non-avian dinosaurs. If true birds made those tracks, they would push the origin of birds tens of millions of years earlier than the oldest known bird skeletons.

The results may show that some early dinosaurs had feet or modes of walking that closely resembled those of birds, producing nearly indistinguishable tracks long before birds evolved. Either way, the findings suggest that the transition toward bird-like feet began earlier and more gradually than the body fossil record alone indicates.

Note their response to this very unexpected (according to the evolutionary story) result—it’s never to question their evolutionary assumptions! I thought today was a good day to share this study with you because today is the 12-year anniversary of my debate with Bill Nye, “the Science Guy,” at the Creation Museum. That debate has been viewed by millions of people, and I still hear—over a decade later—stories of people who were impacted by the truth that I shared. Well, it’s ironic that just before this anniversary, I saw a news story about an “out-of-order” fossil because, when asked if he would give up his naturalistic assumptions, Mr. Nye responded with,

That’s why I say, if you can find a fossil that has swum between the layers, bring it on. You would change the world.

Well, such fossils have been found . . . over and over again! This is just another example. And it doesn’t “change the world,” because evolutionists simply rework their model to accommodate the new evidence, no matter how unexpected. The issue isn’t the evidence. It never has been! The issue is a battle between two worldviews—and two interpretations of the evidence—because of two different starting points (God’s Word or man’s word) and hard hearts that don’t want to accept the truth of God’s Word.

One of the classic arguments for the existence of a Creator God is that order doesn’t come from disorder. In other words, our universe is precisely ordered—from the movements of the planets in their orbits to the structure of atoms. Everything is amazingly precise and orderly, and that couldn’t have come from a random universe that began with a “big bang.” But a viral video claims to disprove this idea by supposedly showing order coming from disorder.

In the video, a person picks up a box of jumbled up nails and shakes the box until all of the nails fall into neat, orderly lines. Above the video, the text reads:

RA: because science proves order cannot come from disorder

Me: oh?

Now, of course, it’s obvious a human made the nails, a human made the box, a human shook the box (not too hard, not too soft), and therefore intelligence was involved in the whole process. But, in a series of responses to criticisms such as that, the X user shows other videos of “order” coming from disorder and showing the scientific principles behind it (such as crystals and minerals forming in highly organized patterns, seemingly without an intelligence behind them).

But this individual is missing an important point—there are immaterial laws governing why nails shaken in a box will align themselves or why crystals will form in precise ways. And where do immaterial laws of nature and physics come from?

In a completely material, naturalistic universe—such as the one this X user presumably believes in (and that atheists believe in)—there can’t be immaterial laws of physics and nature. After all, where do they come from? How does a materialistic process create something immaterial? And why should those laws work everywhere and work the same every time, thus allowing us to trust the uniformity of nature?

The viral video merely shows that there are immaterial laws of nature that work because there is a Creator—the God of the Bible—who designed these laws and upholds his creation.

A recent opinion piece in The New York Times claims, “Americans are turning against gay people.” A host of similar articles—with perhaps less provocative titles—appeared in other news outlets highlighting the findings of two research psychologists who claim that since 2020, “support for gay people [has begun] to ‘sharply reverse’”—especially among young people.

According to the research, “anti-gay bias trends ‘were distinctly robust among the youngest American adults — those under 25. This group increased its animus against marginalized groups in general and gay people in particular at a faster rate than older Americans did.’”

Overall, 71% of Americans said homosexuality is “morally acceptable” in 2022, but that number dropped to 64% by the next year. Apparently, it was among young people that the drop was most noticeable. Why? Well, the researchers don’t know, but they speculate,

Gay and lesbian people, newly woven into the fabric of mainstream society, may have been collateral damage in a broader revolt against a system that felt broken, especially among younger generations grappling most intensely with uncertainty about their future.

Whatever the reasons, it seems the tide of public opinion might be changing, especially within the younger generations (and several articles highlighted this change specifically among young men). But think about who has been discipling the younger generations for the past few years—popular online influencers.

These younger generations desperately need to be discipled by Christians so they can think properly, with a biblical worldview, and know the gospel message and understand the truth about gender based on God’s Word.

With the advent of the smartphone, many (probably most) from the younger generations have spent countless hours online, listening to podcasts and online influencers—many of whom preach a worldview that may align with some “conservative” values (such as heterosexual marriage) but that are anti-biblical in many ways. It’s likely these younger generations aren’t rejecting homosexuality because they understand the biblical sexual ethic but for other reasons. These younger generations desperately need to be discipled by Christians so they can think properly, with a biblical worldview, and know the gospel message and understand the truth about gender based on God’s Word.

It’s not enough that support for homosexuality is dropping. We need generations raised to think biblically about all aspects of sexuality and marriage—and that means parents, churches, and Christians whom God has given a platform online need to be boldly sharing the biblical truth about sexuality. Are you equipping your kids and young people, not to be “anti-gay” as our culture defines it, but to be biblical in all areas—including every area of sexuality?

I challenge you to really think about this in regard to the young people God has given you influence over! And remember, having a biblical worldview based on God’s Word will conflict with the secular worldview based on man’s word—but that’s not hate speech.

If you’ve never seen a glacier, you’re missing out. They really are magnificent, and pictures can never quite capture their enormity or the wonder they evoke. But have you ever wondered why earth has glaciers in the first place?

It’s this flood, the global flood of Noah’s day, that’s key to understanding why we have glaciers today.

Well, they weren’t created by God during creation week. Keep in mind there was only one continent before the flood, as Genesis 1:9 indicates, which means the continents we know today were not in their present locations at that time but were broken apart and rapidly moved during the flood. And even if glaciers did exist in the preflood world, they would’ve been destroyed during the flood. But it’s this flood, the global flood of Noah’s day, that’s key to understanding why we have glaciers today.

You see, the glaciers were formed after the flood (as a result of the flood), during the ice age, just a few thousand years ago. This ice age—the only one in earth’s history—was brought on by the unique conditions of the flood:

• Geologic, tectonic, and volcanic activity would’ve warmed the oceans, leading to an excess of evaporation.
• Aerosols, ash, and other volcanic matter would’ve remained trapped in the atmosphere for years, reflecting sunlight into space and cooling the continents, leading to very cold winters and cool summers for much of the earth.

Those unique conditions would’ve led to snow, snow, and more snow! It piled up and, with cooler summers, wouldn’t have fully melted—leading to the rapid (in decades or a few centuries) formation of ice sheets that covered 30 percent of the globe, including as far south as Northern Kentucky, where we’re located.

As earth settled down, those glaciers retreated to their current positions in the extreme north and south. And that’s why we have glaciers today! They didn’t form slowly over hundreds of thousands of years. Rather, they formed rapidly during a unique time in earth’s history.

A very sad lifestyle choice came to my attention recently. Believe it or not, it’s called “tangping,” which translates in English to “lying flat,” and it is basically rebellion, apathy, and despair all rolled into one. According to the article,

Lying flat emerged four years ago as a counterculture movement to the Chinese regime’s draconian pandemic lockdowns. Chinese youth, rejecting the grueling rat race, sought a different lifestyle: doing the bare minimum.

They have since taken it to another level. Ignoring the urging from Chinese authorities to work hard, they call themselves “rat people” and spend their days “rotting” in bed.

The days they document on Chinese social media go something like this: crawling out of bed around noon or later, showering, cooking or ordering takeout, eating while scrolling their phones, more bedtime, then more food and doomscrolling—or gaming—until the wee hours.

The job market in China has basically dried up, and college graduates are scrambling to find any jobs they can get, mostly involving food service and delivery jobs. This has dashed their expectations and hope. This has also led to falling marriage rates and a decline in families. Most young people interviewed had the same thing to say: “I have no desire for dating or marriage, let alone children. I can barely sustain myself.”

Alan Li, 22, has been in the courier service for three years in the southeastern Chinese city of Suzhou. To save money on rent, he lives in a tent under a bridge.

“Marriage is for rich people,” he told The Epoch Times. “Do you have a house, car, or savings? What will our children eat after marrying? Will there be money for baby formula?”

“It’s way too much pressure.”

And this “lying flat” movement has generated some disturbing trends in society—like young adults buying pacifiers for themselves; calling each other (and strangers) “baby”; waiting in lines for mental health clinics; and even “zero cost survival,” which sometimes means scouring food market dumpsters for discarded produce and living in tents or staying with parents indefinitely.

Recently, “China has been investing more in ideological indoctrination, mandating that all college majors study Marxism, Xi Jinping Thought, and Chinese socialism.” And how is that working for them? The article goes on to say that what the CCP preaches contradicts reality: “If the Party is so great as they claim, then why are people in such a mess?”

Since those world systems are incompatible with Christianity, they produce hopelessness while at the same time destroying the family.

This should be taken as a warning to Western nations as well. Communism and socialism are not the answers to the world’s problems. And sadly, there are politicians implementing socialism in the USA! It will be a disaster here as it has been everywhere else it’s been tried. So what is the solution to this epidemic of hopelessness in China?

It is the gospel, which not only saves us but also gives us hope. Ephesians 2:12–13 tells us that before we were saved, we were without hope. But Romans 5:1–2 tells us, “Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”

As I’ve detailed before,

Chinese Christians can’t legally host Sunday school classes, bring their children to church, or teach their own children their Christian faith. Teachers can’t share their faith, and religious materials can’t be used as textbooks. Those who break the law can face fines or other consequences.

Is it any wonder that this has caused a sense of hopelessness and frustration? And Chinese young people are seeing through the false promises of communist ideology, realizing it is a system that only produces despair.

My message from 2019 is the same that I would give today:

Pray for Chinese Christians. Pray for the parents in China and their children. No matter what the government says about our Christian faith, we must obey God and not men (Acts 5:29). So I know many parents will defy the government and share the good news of Christ with their children. Pray for their protection and boldness. Above all, pray that many people—including children of all ages—will come to faith in Christ.

Why this discussion of human life? Well, January 22, 2026, will be the 53rd anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Although that ruling was overturned in 2022 to enable the states to decide the legality of abortion, over one million children per year are still murdered in their mothers’ wombs in the US.

We should grieve for what the abomination of child sacrifice (yes, that’s what abortion is) has done in murdering many millions of children worldwide (with over 60 million abortions recorded since 1973 in the US alone).

Right from fertilization, we are humans made in God’s image, and abortion is killing a human being made in God’s image and for whom Jesus died.

Today is Sanctity of Life Sunday, and many churches will be teaching on the value of human life—something churches desperately need (to see how desperately, see my blog from earlier this month on research that revealed one in five churchgoers have somehow participated in an abortion). Well, in honor of this special day, I thought I would share three biblical truths on the sanctity of human life.

1. Life begins at fertilization.In the study I referenced above, only 54% of churchgoers believed that the Bible indicates when human life begins (24% said it doesn’t say, and 22% said they don’t know). But of that 54%, only 40% gave the biblical answer to when it says life begins—at fertilization! The others picked some arbitrary point on the developmental timeline, claimed they didn’t know the answer, or contradicted their previous answer by saying that Scripture doesn’t specify.

   The Bible is clear on this issue. It always treats the unborn as persons having the same value as those who are already born.

Consider God’s law, which prescribed the death penalty for someone who accidentally strikes a pregnant woman so that she delivers prematurely and the baby dies. Or the fact that both Jesus and John the Baptist are referred to as persons, even though they were still in the wombs of their mothers (Luke 1:39–45). Or, of course, Psalm 139, where the psalmist glorifies God because of how he knits us together in the womb.

   The Bible treats a human life, no matter how developed, as a person (and scientifically, this is the only position that makes sense—a fertilized egg is a unique combination of human DNA and nothing new is added, so that life can’t be anything but a human person!).

   This has massive implications for our current society: If life begins at fertilization (which it does), then taking that life, which is made in God’s image (Genesis 1:27), is murder and a violation of God’s command “You shall not murder” (Exodus 20:13).

2. Feelings don’t determine truth. The study asked participants for the “types of information that have the most influence on [their] views . . . regarding abortion and the value of human life.” They found that for 42% it was “their moral and religious beliefs,” but for a whopping 34% it was . . . “their personal feelings.” But feelings are not what determine truth!

   Consider how the Bible describes our feelings, “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?” (Jeremiah 17:9 NIV). And we’re explicitly told not to lean on our own understanding but on the Lord (Proverbs 3:5–6)—and the only way we can have our minds shaped by the Lord is by reading his perfect revelation to us in the Bible!

   Feelings change and are often wrong. God’s Word doesn’t change, and it is never wrong. Don’t be guided by your feelings, especially on an issue of life and death. Be guided by the perfect, authoritative, infallible Word of God. You can’t trust your feelings.

3. Christians have to apply the biblical perspective to other life issues. When we think of sanctity of life issues, we usually think of abortion. But we must take the Bible’s principles about the value of human life, not murdering, and obeying the Lord rather than our feelings, and apply them to other sanctity of life issues.

   God is the Author of life—not us—and we cannot just take life because we think it’s the best choice.

   For example, the study found only 43% of churchgoers “affirmed that ‘euthanasia is morally wrong’”! Nearly a quarter said it wasn’t, and 35% weren’t sure what to think on the issue. But the elderly, the terminally ill, the vulnerable, those with disabilities—each person is made in the image of God, and therefore their life has value. God is the Author of life—not us—and we cannot just take life because we think it’s the best choice. Rather, we allow God to be wiser, kinder, and more compassionate than we sinful humans are!

   We must also apply these principles to reproductive technologies (e.g., IVF). Babies created in a petri dish with technology are just as valuable as those formed through natural means. And yet, untold numbers of those lives are discarded because they are not considered “viable” or because genetic testing predicts that child will have a disability or a future risk of illness. A recent study found the deaths of IVF embryos now outnumber deaths by abortion in America! But each of those lives is made in God’s image too and deserves to be protected and valued.

Abortion, discarding embryos, and euthanasia say, “You will die for me” or “I will choose when and how I die.” The gospel says, “The Creator of the universe and the Lord of all creation left glory to come to this earth, lived a perfect life, and died in your place that you might be saved from slavery to sin and live with God forever.”

Exciting progress is happening at the Creation Museum as construction on our new restaurant and Radiance exhibit continues!

Over the past few weeks, the construction teams have been hard at work on the beautiful new restaurant. From roof installation and electrical work to the cement now poured around the front entrance, things are really taking shape.

We can’t wait to welcome and serve even more guests in this fantastic new space. This will really solve a problem as the current restaurant is too small for the crowds that come, which causes congestion in the Main Hall.

When the new restaurant is opened (by spring break is what we’re aiming for), this will make an enormous difference and enhance guest experiences at the Creation Museum.

And here’s a behind-the-scenes peek at the making of our brand-new, custom sign for the new Creation Museum exhibit opening very soon.

Our design studio team has been hard at work for weeks to bring this one-of-a-kind sign from concept to reality—from hand-pouring each letter to dialing in the cool lighting that will soon be installed.

As we start the new year, I’m sure we’re all wondering what 2026 might hold. What battles will be waged in our very divided political realm? What violence or acts of terrorism might erupt? What major catastrophes like earthquakes, fires, hurricanes, or floods might devastate parts of the US? Will persecution ramp up against Christians/conservatives?

We certainly live in tumultuous times with so much uncertainty. Moral and social changes have swept dramatically through our culture, and technology like AI is advancing at a rate we can’t really comprehend. We can’t even trust many of the videos, photos, or reports we see on the internet as much is now doctored to look real. Change is all around us. Deception is all around us.

I feel stressed just writing the above, but . . . let’s take our eyes off the world for a moment and look at something that does not and never will change—God’s Word and the saving gospel.

Let’s focus on these words from Scripture, God’s Word to us:

Cause my eyes to turn away from looking at worthlessness, and revive me in Your ways. (Psalm 119:37 LSB)

Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. For our momentary, light affliction is working out for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:16–18 LSB)

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will make you mighty, surely I will help you; surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10 LSB)

Ah! I needed to be reminded of those verses. Yes, as the prophet said to encourage his people,

Though the fig tree should not blossom and there be no produce on the vines, though the yield of the olive should fail and the fields yield no food, though the flock should be cut off from the fold and there be no cattle in the stalls, yet I will exult in Yahweh; I will rejoice in the God of my salvation. Yahweh, the Lord, is my strength, and He has set my feet like hinds’ feet and makes me tread on my high places. (Habakkuk 3:17–19 LSB)

God called Mally and me to found this ministry and appointed me to lead. In his sovereignty, he has allowed AiG to face another year in which we will proclaim the most vital, important, and transformative message in the universe—the gospel:

Then I saw another angel flying in midheaven, having an eternal gospel to proclaim to those who inhabit the earth, and to every nation and tribe and tongue and people. And he said with a loud voice, “Fear God, and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come; worship Him who made the heaven and the earth and sea and springs of waters.” (Revelation 14:6–7 LSB)

As I lead this ministry to which the Lord has called me, I have always been one to continually look at how the culture and technology are changing, and therefore how our methods of reaching the culture should change to ensure the changeless message of God’s Word and the gospel is clearly proclaimed and understood.

I have often used Jesus’ parable of the 10 minas where Jesus taught that God has given various gifts (talents, material resources, etc.) to people. Now that he has ascended to heaven, he expects us to use those gifts/resources until he returns. And when he returns, we will be accountable for how we used and invested those resources:

A nobleman went to a distant country to receive a kingdom for himself, and then return. And he called ten of his slaves, and gave them ten minas and said to them, “Engage in business until I come back.” . . . And it happened that when he returned, after receiving the kingdom, he ordered that these slaves, to whom he had given the money, be called to him so that he might know how much they had made in business. So the first appeared, saying, “Master, your mina has made ten minas more.” And he said to him, “Well done, good slave, because you have been faithful in a very little thing, you are to be in authority over ten cities.” . . . Then another came, saying, “Master, here is your mina, which I kept put away in a cloth; for I was afraid of you, because you are a strict man; you take up what you did not lay down and reap what you did not sow.” He said to him, “From your own mouth I will judge you, you worthless slave. Did you know that I am a strict man, taking up what I did not lay down and reaping what I did not sow? Then why did you not put my money in the bank, and having come, I would have collected it with interest?” (Luke 19:12–23 LSB)

God has entrusted us at Answers in Genesis (our staff and our supporters) with resources that we need to invest in doing the business of the King (proclaiming the truth of God’s Word and the gospel) until he returns.

And this is also a reminder to us of what the primary thrust of Answers in Genesis should always be:

Now when Jesus was in Bethany, at the home of Simon the leper, a woman came to Him with an alabaster jar of very costly perfume, and she poured it on His head as He reclined at the table. But when the disciples saw this, they were indignant, saying, “Why this waste? For this perfume might have been sold for a high price and the money given to the poor.” But Jesus, aware of this, said to them, “Why do you bother the woman? For she has done a good work to Me. For you always have the poor with you; but you do not always have Me. For when she poured this perfume on My body, she did it to prepare Me for burial. Truly I say to you, wherever this gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be spoken of in memory of her.” (Matthew 26:6–13 LSB)

The story of the woman with the alabaster jar alludes to Jesus’ death and burial. It also emphasizes worship and devotion over material things. In other words, this prioritizes spiritual ministry over ministry business. It certainly was a sacrificial act showing her love for Jesus. But because the disciples were thinking in terms of the money, and thus a business emphasis, they saw it as a waste. In pouring this over Jesus’ head and running down his clothing, it was also symbolic of the gospel and knowledge of Christ being proclaimed to the world. Jesus rebuked his disciples for not thinking of the spiritual aspect of this first. What she did was an act of worship and showed that she had a deep spiritual understanding. It was not a business transaction. In God’s kingdom, spiritual value is placed over material gain. God’s Word and the gospel are the priority.

Answers in Genesis is primarily a ministry proclaiming God’s Word and the gospel. This permeates every bit of the organization in many different ways. We must obey the laws in regard to business, and we need to have the most proficient business skills and maintain the highest of integrity. But the ministry/mission is the priority, which also involves pleasing God through (responsible) faith. And that is the primary focus of what we do with the financial resources you, our supporters, entrust to us.

Now, as many of you will recall, Captain Wilmore and his crewmate, Captain Suni Williams, launched aboard the Boeing Starliner spacecraft on June 5, 2024, for its first crewed flight (to the ISS), but the capsule’s thrusters malfunctioned during the process. NASA later determined it was not safe to return the two astronauts aboard Starliner. What was meant to be an eight-day mission turned into nine long months in space. Well, it’s 2026. Wow, 2025 went by so fast. It’s a New Year, and none of us knows what this year will hold. Here at Answers in Genesis, we anticipate this year holding the opening of our beautiful, themed Welcome Center at the Ark Encounter and our new restaurant at the Creation Museum. But, of course, that’s all Lord willing, and no one really knows for sure what a year (or even a day!) holds. This gives many people anxiety. But the Bible has the antidote for that.

The answer to the anxiousness many feel about the future is found in James 4:13–16:

Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”—yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” As it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.

What the Lord is saying through the Apostle James is that, as humans, we make plans—we decide to travel and make a profit—but we are fallible and finite. We can’t see the future. We have no idea “what tomorrow will bring.” More than that, our lives are just vapors; we’re here today and gone tomorrow like the flowers of the field or a morning mist. (How’s that for an encouraging New Year’s message?) The things we dwell on and consider so important in the moment are just like our lives: a mist.

This can drive us to anxiety, or it can drive us where we should go: to the Lord. The proper posture as fallible, finite humans is to live by this principle: “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” When we truly understand that our lives are not our own, that we belong to God, and that he is sovereign over all circumstances, we can approach a New Year—with all its unknowns, fears, and worries—with confidence because God is our rock, our shield, and our fortress. It’s not the economy, the government, our current circumstances, our health, or anything else. It’s God! He holds tomorrow, and our fallibility should lead us to humble dependence on him.

Wow! What a year it has been! This past year has been a year with both blessings and trials (as most years are), but for this end-of-year blog post I want to focus on something incredibly exciting that our research has revealed—something that is so encouraging because it has an eternal impact.

According to our research based on surveys guests fill out when they leave our attractions, we estimate that at least 100,000 people each year make a profession of faith in Christ after visiting the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum. That’s right—100,000! That’s a staggering number . . . and it’s a conservative estimate! We are just so grateful to the Lord for using the message of biblical authority and the gospel that’s presented at the attractions to save people.

And that number is just as a result of the attractions. We hear so many testimonies from children saved through AiG’s VBS programs, books, videos, radio programs, and more. At our 40 Days of Christian Music festival last year, over 2,300 committed their lives to Christ. God is using this ministry in special ways to reach so many with the gospel message.

As we move into 2026 and whatever this coming year holds for this nation, this ministry, and our families (none of us know!), be encouraged that God is working. He is still saving people and is using the faithfulness of his people to do it.

I have an exciting announcement for you—but first, some historical context.

In AD 230, Christianity was technically an illegal religion in the Roman Empire. Severus Alexander sat on the throne as emperor, rising to power at age 13 after his grandmother had her older grandson, Emperor Elagabalus, assassinated. Despite this bloody takeover, Severus was favorable toward Christians, and persecution during his reign was light compared to previous centuries.

Sometime during his reign, a room hosting a communion table to be used by officers of the Roman Legio VI Ferrata was built south of Tel Megiddo in northern Israel. The floor of that room was constructed as a beautiful mosaic, featuring several inscriptions—one of which read, “Akeptous, the friend of God, has offered the table to God Jesus Christ (for) remembrance.”

Within decades, the building was abandoned and dismantled, but an unknown someone took time to cover the mosaic with pottery shards and wall plaster, preserving it until now.

This floor mosaic, featuring the earliest known extra-biblical reference (outside of manuscripts) to Jesus as God, has been called “one of the most important discoveries made in Israel this century.” And—here’s the exciting announcement—it’s coming to the Ark Encounter in 2027!

Well, there’s been a lot of talk about kings recently, not just in the US but in news sources around the world that were reporting on the so-called “No Kings” protests across America in October.

When these events occurred, I filmed a video and wrote a social media post stating that for most of those involved in these protests, it was really a “No King” protest. Many of them were promoting LGBT, transgender, abortion, and so on. In other words, they were promoting anti-God/anti-biblical worldview issues. Really, it’s a rebellion against the only true king of creation.

Really, what many of these people were doing was exactly what the devil tempted Adam and Eve with in Genesis 3:5—to be their own god and thus determine their own “truth.”

At the same time, we are seeing a rise in interest in the King of kings, particularly in the younger generations:

And being clothed with a garment dipped in blood, His name is also called The Word of God. And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses. . . . And He has on His garment and on His thigh a name written, “KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” (Revelation 19:13–14, 16 LSB)

This growing interest in the Bible and the things of God is certainly encouraging, and only time will tell what the true impact will be. I do note that much of what is happening to stir the hearts of these young people across the nation concerning the message of God’s Word is happening outside the local church. Sadly, we see so much of the church being rather lukewarm. But regardless, God raises up people in his true church worldwide to carry out the Great Commission.

Now we have also seen a rise in violence against those with Christian/conservative views. And it’s all connected to the identity issue.

Identity has become a big issue among younger generations, and the Creation Museum’s new exhibit, Radiance, will lead them to understand their true identity is in Christ. What we have always done as a ministry is ensure we are at the cutting edge of where the culture is at as we “contend earnestly for the faith” (Jude 1:3) and do battle in the spiritual war raging around us (Ephesians 6:12). Additionally, we have just produced a new book, Sex, Gender, and the Gospel: God’s Design in a Confused World to equip believers to face cultural lies with grace and point to Christ’s transformative hope.

The Game Has Changed

In his last sermon before he passed away at 56 years old, the well-known, powerful speaker and friend of Answers in Genesis, Voddie Baucham, said this:

And by the way, here’s what you need to understand. The game has changed.

We don’t debate anymore. You see, now we look at issues not through the lens of our underlying philosophy, but we look at issues through our identity and our lived experience. So when someone is taking a position on political issues today, often times because of this neo-Marxist ideology, this oppressor/oppressed ideology, because the way we sort of divided the world, we look at it through that lens. And so, this is this is not just my political opinion or position. This is my identity, and this is my lived experience. So we can’t have a debate on that. For you to have a debate on something that I have declared as my identity and my lived experience is for you to negate my identity and to negate my lived experience. And by the way, we’ve already decided that words are violent. So if your words are violence and they are violence against my very identity, it’s reasonable that I would respond to your words with actual violence.

He hit the nail on the head. Those brainwashed in secular humanism increasingly don’t debate. Since they consider those who disagree with them as hating them, therefore, the words used are “violence.” This means they can respond with violence. And we see that happening increasingly in our culture—consider what happened to Charlie Kirk.

Think about it: Those who claim Christians are intolerant are intolerant of Christians who hold a biblical worldview. Those in the LGBTQ movement who claim they allow all views in regard to gender and marriage, don’t allow the biblical worldview that there’s only one definition of marriage and only two genders of humans, male and female, based on God’s Word. Those who claim they love everyone will hate those they disagree with. Consider these photographs from the “No Kings” protest in our local area in Kentucky:

So what is happening? We are seeing Isaiah 5:20 portrayed before our eyes:

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness, Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! (Isaiah 5:20 LSB)

What does this verse mean?

Because God is the Creator, then God defines what he has created. Man wants to be his own god (Genesis 3:5), and because man is not the creator, man will take what God created and defined and redefine it in the opposite direction.

What is the solution?

Well, to quote President Ronald Reagan, “The government is not the solution to our problem.” Now he was stating this in a different context, but this statement applies in the above context too. Not only is the government not the solution, but legislation is not the solution. Please don’t misunderstand me. We need more Christians active on various boards and in government voting in accord with a Christian worldview. If Christians don’t do this, then secularists will take these positions and vote in accord with an anti-Christian worldview.

What is the solution? As I have said over and over again, the solution has always been (as first given in Genesis 3:15) God’s Word and the saving gospel. Until people have a change of heart and mind in regard to trusting God’s Word, trust Christ for salvation, and build and apply a Christian worldview in their lives, we will not see a change in their lives from a secular worldview of moral relativism to a biblical worldview with the absolutes of Christianity.

At Answers in Genesis, we have always recognized that when people’s hearts and minds are changed in regard to God’s Word, that is what will impact theculture. Our extensive surveys of guests who have visited the Ark and Creation Museum consistently shows that about 100,000 people a year commit their lives to Christ as a result of their visit. That’s just the attractions—we know many others are saved as a result of our VBS, 40 Days of Christian Music festival, radio programs, and many other programs.

As Paul makes clear in Philippians, the most important message for every human being is that we trust Christ for salvation. After all, that determines where we will spend eternity:

More than that, I count all things to be loss because of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ. (Philippians 3:8 LSB)

Is biblical creation just a blind-faith belief? This idea that what we believe as creationists is utterly contrary to reason and is just taken on “blind faith” (which would be fideism) is an attack we commonly hear from secularists. I’ve even had some Christians tell me Christianity is based on blind faith. But is it true?

Well, I’d say that fideism—blind faith—is a great way to describe the evolutionary faith, the religion of evolution, because the men and women who hold to evolution must close their eyes and ears to the host of evidence from creation that cries out for a Creator.

For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. (Romans 1:20)

When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
what is man that you are mindful of him,
and the son of man that you care for him? (Psalm 8:3–4)

It’s not creationists ignoring the evidence! We see over and over that science and reason agree with and confirm the truth that we find in God’s Word.

Just consider the complexity of DNA, the intricate language system written into every cell of every living thing; the “fearfully and wonderfully” developing unborn baby (human development is incredibly complex!); the precise order of the heavenly bodies; and the intricacies of earth’s ecosystems. It all cries out for a Creator God.

But are we guilty of fideism because we insist on a literal six-day interpretation of Genesis 1? Not at all!

• We appeal to Hebrew grammar, which indicates Genesis is written as history, rather than poetry or myth.
• We appeal to ancient Jewish and Christian scholarship, which unanimously saw it as history.
• We understand that most areas of modern science were pioneered by Christians. Some of the most brilliant people in history were Bible-believing followers of Jesus, and their faith didn’t contradict their academics; rather, it spurred it on.
• And above all, we appeal to the authority of Christ, who read Genesis as history.

Many Christians find it tempting to add millions of years and/or evolution to the Bible, finding an interpretation that seems more sophisticated or “scientific.” But really, it’s nothing short of compromise with the pagan religion of our day—making man the ultimate authority, not God—and it’s a slippery slope that leads to more and more compromise.

There are good reasons—irrefutable reasons—to believe in the biblical God and the truth of his Word. While all Christians must have faith (it’s impossible to please God without it!), we do not have a blind faith. We have a reasonable, defensible faith—objective faith. Atheists have a blind faith that strains credulity.

You know, we live in a world of so much uncertainty, turmoil, pain, and suffering. The new year is just around the corner, and none of us has any idea what it will bring. But this is the world that Jesus was born into: a world he had made “very good” (Genesis 1:31) but that we had wrecked because of our sin. It was into this sin-cursed world that God chose to send his only begotten Son in the fullness of time. Jesus knew our pain and the temptations of sin, and yet he lived a life of perfect obedience to his Father. And he lived that life on our behalf so that we, sinners though we are, might become, through faith, “the righteousness of God” (2 Corinthians 5:21).

It was into this sin-cursed world that God chose to send his only begotten Son in the fullness of time.

No matter what your Christmas looks like (or what you fear for the coming year), rest in the knowledge that the God who knows the end from the beginning never changes, that he is with you always, and that he has kept every one of his promises and will continue to do so until the consummation of all things when he will create a new heavens and new earth and those who have been redeemed by his grace will live with him forever.

May that truth give you joy this Christmas!

Over the years, I’ve pointed out that the first mention of the gospel occurs in Genesis 3:15, right after sin enters creation. As God is judging the serpent, he gives the serpent a prophecy—and what hope it must have given to Adam and Eve—that the Seed (offspring) of the woman was coming to crush (bruise) the serpent’s head.

I will put enmity between you and the woman,
    and between your offspring and her offspring;
he shall bruise your head,
    and you shall bruise his heel.

But returning to Genesis, fast-forward past the flood and Babel and consider God’s promise to Abraham, as God selects him to be the one from whose family line the Messiah will come:

And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. (Genesis 12:2)

This promise is then continued to Abraham’s promised son, Isaac:

Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his offspring after him. (Genesis 17:19)

And to Isaac’s younger son, Jacob:

I am the Lord, the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac. The land on which you lie I will give to you and to your offspring. Your offspring shall be like the dust of the earth, and you shall spread abroad to the west and to the east and to the north and to the south, and in you and your offspring shall all the families of the earth be blessed. Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land. For I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you. (Genesis 28:13–15)

And Jacob’s son Judah:

The scepter shall not depart from Judah,
    nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet. (Genesis 49:10)

Now, you’ll notice as you read Genesis that none of these men were perfect. They all sinned grievously, and within the accounts of these four generations, we see instances where one or another of them lied, took concubines or extra wives, solicited a “prostitute,” deceived others, sold a brother into slavery, and more. God certainly doesn’t whitewash the sins of his people!

It’s all a reminder that we can’t save ourselves!

Clearly, none of them could be the “Seed of the woman” who would crush the serpent’s head. They were all flawed and sinful, failing to live up to God’s standard. It’s all a reminder that we can’t save ourselves! It’s God who, in his mercy, makes and keeps the promise of a Savior. Eventually that promise was fulfilled (as we will celebrate tomorrow) in Jesus Christ the God-man through his life, death, and resurrection.

As you celebrate Christmas tomorrow, take time to reflect on the sinfulness, not just of mankind as a whole but of yourself, and to thank God that he did what you and I cannot—he sent the perfect Savior to “save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21).

The numbers are in for the 2024–2025 school year—and it’s good news for homeschooling. According to a Johns Hopkins School of Education report, homeschooling in America increased by 5.4%, “nearly three times the pre-pandemic homeschooling growth rate,” with 36% of reporting states recording “their highest homeschool enrollment numbers ever — exceeding even the peaks reached during the pandemic.”

The study continued:

Of additional interest, several states [including New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine] are reporting growth rates in the double digits, with one state [South Carolina] exceeding 20%. Other notable trends include continued growth in some states, rebounding growth in states that had been in decline, and highest-ever homeschooling rates in multiple states.

The director of the Johns Hopkins Homeschool Research Lab said this growth is “remarkable” and represents a “fundamental shift” in education:

We’re seeing something remarkable here. Homeschooling growth is nearly triple the pre-pandemic rate and shows no signs of slowing down. This isn’t a pandemic hangover; it’s a fundamental shift in how American families are thinking about education. . . .

What’s particularly striking is the resilience of this trend. States that saw declines have bounced back with double-digit growth, and we’re seeing record enrollment numbers across the country.

Now, enrollment numbers don’t provide the “why” behind decisions to start homeschooling, but most parents I’ve talked to share they started homeschooling because of the secular, anti-Christian agenda being pushed through the public education system; the declining quality of education; or a desire to have children at home for more opportunities for biblical discipleship—all good reasons!
