Spurgeon Sermons

The works of Charles Spurgeon have inspired millions of Christians around the world for over a hundred years. His wisdom and insight into God’s Word and world have helped others discover the richness of Scripture. Answers in Genesis is pleased to present the text of a large collection of sermons from this 19th century “Prince of Preachers.”

    Galaxy-Quasar ‘Connection’ Defies Explanation
    Dec. 1, 1997, pp. 254–255

    Astronomical Problems
    April 1, 1995, pp. 5–6

    Radioactive Dating Method ‘Under Fire’
    March 1, 1992, pp. 43–47

In most people’s minds today, the radioactive dating of the earth’s rocks by geologists has supposedly proved that the earth is billions of years old.

Fossil Magnetism Reveals Rapid Reversals of the Earth's Magnetic Field
    June 1, 1991, pp. 46–50

Fossils with magnetic properties demonstrate the rapid reversals of the Earth's magnetic field in the past.

    Can Water Flow Uphill?
    Dec. 1, 1988, pp. 33–34

Rivers flow downhill. Heat flows from a hot area to a cooler area. Clothes and shoes wear out, and buildings crumble if not maintained. But can water flow uphill?

    Rapid Rocks
    Dec. 1, 1998, pp. 42–44

The timescale and conditions for the formation and cooling of granites are totally consistent with a 6,000–7,000 year-old earth and a global cataclysmic flood 4,500–5,000 years ago.

Arthropods Supposedly Invaded Land 40 Million Years Earlier
    Aug. 1, 2003, pp. 3–4

Extrasolar Planets Suggest our Solar System is Unique and Young
    April 1, 2003, pp. 11–13

Because of its naturalistic evolutionary philosophy, modern science does not want to recognise that our solar system is specially created, and so it has problems explaining the data for exoplanets.

Spurgeon Sermons

These sermons from Charles Spurgeon are a series that is for reference and not necessarily a position of Answers in Genesis. Spurgeon did not entirely agree with six days of creation and dives into subjects that are beyond the AiG focus (e.g., Calvinism vs. Arminianism, modes of baptism, and so on).
