It’s already beginning to look a lot like Christmas here at the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter in Northern Kentucky. Our grounds crew at the Creation Museum has been working since August to install the gorgeous lights that will form our breathtaking garden of lights, which gets better each year—as hard as that is to imagine when you’ve seen how spectacular they’ve been. And it’s only a few more weeks (November 29–December 30, 2019) until you can come and enjoy it for yourself during our free ChristmasTown event at the Creation Museum. And that’s just one of the two spectacular Christmas events at our Christian-themed attractions (learn more about that below!).

ChristmasTown at the Creation Museum

ChristmasTown at the Creation Museum features the spectacular garden of lights, a live nativity, Eden Animal Experience, and so much more. Enjoy shopping for unique Christmas gifts, warming up with festive treats, and even ride our ziplines and see the lights from up above (ticket purchase required). This event is free (you only pay $5 for parking), and we encourage you to load up your car and bring the whole family.

It’s a great time to come and see the Creation Museum exhibits and enjoy the garden of lights and live nativity.

And, as a bonus, admission to the Creation Museum exhibits and walk-through (that will include our stunning new exhibits opening mid-November) and unlimited hot chocolate in an exclusive ChristmasTown souvenir mug is only $14.99 after 5 p.m. November 29–December 30! It’s a great time to come and see the Creation Museum exhibits and enjoy the garden of lights and live nativity. Many families have made it an annual tradition, and we hope you will too! The museum is located west of the Cincinnati Airport.

ChristmasTime at the Ark Encounter

Our other stunning Christmas event is ChristmasTime at the Ark Encounter. You’ll enjoy viewing the life-size Noah’s Ark and gardens illuminated in beautiful rainbow-colored lights. In our Answers Center, our brand-new 2,500-seat auditorium, we will be showing “Encounter the Wonder” on the giant LED screen. It’s a beautifully animated show that powerfully shares the true history of the world and the gospel message.

You can also stroll through the Ararat Ridge Zoo—including an indoor heated petting zoo—and enjoy a trip back to biblical times with a ride on a camel. (Ticket purchase required for camel rides.) You’ll also enjoy special Christmas concerts and a traditional Christmas carol sing-along with resident artists Steve Hess & Southern Salvation. Find unique Christmas gifts in our fair trade market and enjoy a festive buffet that you can purchase at Emzara’s Buffet.

ChristmasTime also features North America’s largest Glice® (synthetic ice) skating rink. For just $5 (this includes skate rental), you can enjoy a spin in this winter wonderland. It’s a wonderful event for the whole family.

It’s a wonderful event, celebrating the Savior’s birth and the hope his life and death offer us!

Like ChristmasTown, this event is free (you only pay $10 for parking)! There is a cost to enter the Ark itself. We encourage you to come to both ChristmasTown and ChristmasTime and bring your whole family. It’s a wonderful event, celebrating the Savior’s birth and the hope his life and death offer us!

The Ark Encounter is located south of Cincinnati, at exit 154 off I-75.
