Planned Parenthood—What One Word Comes to Mind When You Think About Thanksgiving?

by Ken Ham

We all have so many things to be thankful for this Thanksgiving—but US abortion giant Planned Parenthood is certainly not one of them! Although they seem to think that we should be thankful for them.

Planned Parenthood

According to LifeNews, the CEO of Planned Parenthood recently sent an email to their supporters that reads,

Strength. Care. Compassion. Those are the words that jump right to my mind when I think about the doctors, nurses, and other staff at Planned Parenthood heath centers. If you’ve ever been (or known!) a Planned Parenthood patient, you know just what I mean. The warm welcome they give to every patient, their total commitment to care — it inspires me, and reminds me just what we’re fighting so hard every day to protect.

. . . let’s show them what that dedication means to us. Share what word comes to mind when you think of Planned Parenthood, and help us create a special poster to say thanks to hard-working health center staff.

LifeNews also reported that “Planned Parenthood is looking for people to thank its staff for killing babies in abortions . . . hoping to generate a word cloud of positive emotions and experiences to give to its staff and employees.” Well, here are some words that come to mind when I think of Planned Parenthood:

  1. Murder
  2. Unbiblical
  3. Sin

So Planned Parenthood wants us to be thankful for the work they do this Thanksgiving! I’m sure the babies who aren’t alive this Thanksgiving because they lost their lives at the hands of abortion doctors certainly won’t be joining in giving thanks to Planned Parenthood for anything. This is simply disgusting. Every human baby is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) in God’s image (Genesis 1:27) right from fertilization—and we certainly shouldn’t express thanks to those who’ve murdered millions of them.

Of course, according to the secularist’s viewpoint, there is no God who sets the rules for morality. Throw out spare cats or spare kids—what is the difference? And what is the purpose of giving thanks from the secular viewpoint anyway? Right and wrong is all relative in their worldview! Thanksgiving was originally set up as a way of expressing thanks to our Creator God, and it seems they want to hijack it to glorify their evil deeds. What a sickening thought!

However, the ultimate Judge will have the final say, and He “commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead” (Acts 17:30–31).

Well, this Thanksgiving we can give praise and glory to God who sent His Son Jesus Christ to save us (John 3:16), and we can give thanks for something that pleases the Lord—the many Christians who take a biblical stand against abortion and proclaim the life-saving gospel to a dying world. We are also thankful for the many people that offer hope and alternative options to pregnant women across the world. We appreciate their efforts as they work to save the lives of babies and offer hope to mothers.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
