There’s Still Time to Register for College Expo 2014

by on

Many Christian colleges in the United States are compromising the biblical principles to which they supposedly adhere in exchange for worldly viewpoints—particularly in the book of Genesis. This compromise is a biblical authority undermining issue that permeates much of the church. It’s one of the reasons so many churched young people have a very secularized worldview.

I’ve written several times about such rampant compromise that it is dangerous to our young people. Many of them actually walk away from the church and the Christian faith because of it. Sadly, many parents don’t realize this and spend thousands of dollars trusting that their chosen Christian institution is going to encourage their child in the faith. Instead, the school does just the opposite, and actively discredits the authority and accuracy of the Bible. So what should parents and young people do?

Well, in less than a month, on November 14 and 15, Answers in Genesis will host College Expo 2014 here at the Creation Museum. It’s a gathering of Bible-affirming Christian colleges, all of whom have signed our statement of faith and hold to a literal, six-day creation and a young earth. At the expo, students can chat with school representatives, build a strong biblical worldview during sessions by Answers in Genesis speakers, and enter to win a $500 scholarship. Expo features also include free Creation Museum tickets and a discounted rate on our new Screaming Raptor Zip Line Adventure Tour. And—best of all—College Expo 2014 registration is free for high school and college students!

So far 24 colleges have registered to be a part of this exciting event (and more schools are still registering). As of this writing, these schools will be part of the expo:

  • Bob Jones University
  • Cedarville University
  • Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary
  • Ohio Christian University
  • Pensacola Christian College
  • Piedmont University
  • The Crown College of the Bible
  • Maranatha Baptist University
  • Patrick Henry College
  • The Master’s College
  • Appalachian Bible College
  • Boyce College
  • Bryan College
  • Calvary Bible College
  • Clear Creek Baptist Bible College
  • Crossroads Bible College
  • Emmaus Bible College
  • Jackson Hole Bible College
  • Kentucky Mountain Bible College
  • Liberty University
  • New Tribes Bible Institute
  • Northland International University
  • Tennessee Temple University
  • Welch College
I encourage young people and their parents to come out to the Creation Museum in Northern Kentucky (near Cincinnati) for this exciting—and free!—event. For complete details and to sign up, visit the event page.

Also, as you look for a Christian college, please see our special website, CreationColleges.org, for a list of colleges that agree with AiG’s statement of faith. However, as we mention on that website, “affirmation of the AiG statement of faith by the school’s president is, of course no guarantee that all professors/textbooks/courses etc., take the same stand on God’s Word including Genesis as they should—but it is a start for parents wanting a short list to research.”

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,

Ken
