2 Corinthians 1:10b-11
“On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.”

A Theme of Prayer: Rebuilding the Foundation Through Prayer

2008 Prayer Theme

At AiG our thrust is to uphold the authority of God's Word, not only providing answers to the questions of skeptics, but also preaching the gospel and seeing people won to the Lord.

AiG also helps Christians understand that western cultures - which generally have been founded on the teachings of God's Word - are now being taught to exalt autonomous human reason and to build a worldview on an evolutionary, secular humanistic foundation. It is thus not surprising today that the most-attacked part of the Bible is Genesis. However, when people realize that they can trust the history in the early chapters of Genesis, they can better understand (and thus be more responsive to) the gospel message-the gospel that is based in that history.

AiG's aim, though, is not to change the culture. Changing the culture is a by-product of a much bigger and more eternally significant goal, for as one life at a time is changed through God's power, Christians can have an impact on the culture for the glory of Christ. Please pray to this end. -Ken Ham, AiG-U.S. President

Prayer Building Analogy

1The Bible – Our Bedrock

Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”

The Inspired Word of God is our solid foundation for every area of life. The reason we exist as a ministry is to restore the Church’s reliance on the absolute authority of the Bible starting with the very first verse.

2Building Stones for AiG’s Effectiveness

John 14:26 “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”

James 1:5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”

Ephesians 4:16 “From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”

  • Holy Spirit’s Guidance – Pray that AiG will be sensitive and obedient to the Holy Spirit and His guidance. Pray that every motive of our heart is pure, and that our eyes are continually focused on the eternal—for God’s glory, not our popularity.
  • Leadership – Pray for holiness, creativity and wisdom in managing staff, strong families and for spiritual and physical protection.
