I would like to commend your web site for the excellent resources they have available for researching evolutionary topics. I am a junior in high school, and I was recently given an assignment to research and present on the Scopes Monkey Trial. After reading the blatantly hostile version of it in our text book, I decided to see what AIG had to say, and I was very pleased by the articles. Some quotes from our book about the trial include, "the trial exposed both the stupidity and the danger of the fundamentalist position"..."exposing his (Bryan's) child-like faith and abysmal ignorance". "the heroes of the Scopes trial-science and freedom of thought". This was all taken from my history book The American Nation: A History of the United States by John A. Garraty (pg 720-721). It infuriates me that the Scopes trial is being portrayed to us in such a biased way, and you can bet that I will be basing most of my presentation off of info from this site. Keep up the good work!!
