About the author

Dr Jonathan Sarfati

Dr Jonathan Sarfati obtained a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry from the University of Wellington (New Zealand) with two physics papers substituted (nuclear and condensed matter physics), and a Ph.D. in Chemistry. He has co-authored papers in mainstream scientific journals on high-temperature superconductors and selenium-containing ring and cage-shaped molecules.

A Christian since 1984, Dr Sarfati has long been interested in apologetics (the defense of the Christian faith), and co-founded the Wellington Christian Apologetics Society. Since 1996, he has been a research scientist, speaker and writer for Answers in Genesis in Brisbane, Australia, where he has authored the top-selling Refuting Evolution and its sequel, Refuting Evolution 2. He is also co-author of the updated and expanded Answers Book.

A former New Zealand Chess Champion and F.I.D.E. Master (FM—International Chess Federation), Dr Sarfati has, blindfolded, mastered up to 12 opponents simultaneously. In print, he is more than a formidable mind: he is a concise and clear communicator.
