Ken Ham

Ken Ham

Founder and CEO, Answers in Genesis–US

B.Sc., environmental biology, Queensland Institute of Technology; Dip. Ed., University of Queensland; Honorary Doctor of Divinity, Temple Baptist College; Honorary Doctorate in Literature, Liberty University

As founder and CEO of Answers in Genesis, Ken is one of America’s most in-demand Christian speakers. He is the author of many books on Genesis, including the best-selling The Lie: Evolution, and a number of children’s books (Dinosaurs of Eden, D is for Dinosaur, A is for Adam, etc.). Ken has also co-authored several books including One Blood—The Biblical Answer to Racism and Walking through Shadows—Finding Hope in a World of Pain.

Ken’s bachelor’s degree in applied science (with an emphasis on environmental biology) was awarded by the Queensland Institute of Technology in Australia. He also holds a diploma of education from the University of Queensland (a graduate qualification necessary for Ken to have begun his initial career as a science teacher in the public schools in Australia).

In recognition of the contribution Ken has made to the church in the USA and internationally, Ken has been awarded two honorary doctorates: a Doctor of Divinity (1997) from Temple Baptist College in Cincinnati, Ohio, and a Doctor of Literature (2004) from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Ken is heard daily on the radio feature Answers … with Ken Ham (broadcast on more than 700 stations—and 450 additional outlets—worldwide), and has appeared on national TV (e.g., The NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams, The PBS News Hour with Jim Lehrer) and talk-show programs. He also writes articles and helps edit AiG’s Answers magazine.

Ken’s teaching emphasis is on the relevance and authority of the book of Genesis in the life of the average Christian, and how compromise on Genesis has opened a dangerous door regarding how the culture and church view biblical authority. His Australian accent, keen sense of humor, captivating stories and exceptional PowerPoint illustrations have made him one of North America’s most effective Christian communicators.

Bodie Hodge

Bodie Hodge

Speaker, writer, and manager of Answers Department, Answers in Genesis–US

B.S. and M.S., mechanical engineering, Southern Illinois University at Carbondale

Bodie went to Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (SIUC) and received a BS and MS in mechanical engineering. His specialty was a subset of mechanical engineering based in advanced materials processing, particularly starting powders.

Bodie did research for his master’s degree through a grant from Lockheed Martin and developed a new method of production of submicron titanium diboride. The new process produced titanium diboride cheaper, faster and with higher quality. This technology is essential for some nanotechnologies.

Bodie worked as a mechanical engineer for Grain Systems Incorporated, a test engineer for Aerotek Engineering (working for Caterpillar Inc.) and taught undergraduate engineering courses at SIUC before joining Answers in Genesis.

Bodie is currently manager of the Answers Department at AiG. The Answers Department answers all questions and responds to all feedback that AiG receives by mail, email and telephone. In 2005, they responded to nearly 15,000 inquiries from both supporters and skeptics.

Carl Kerby

Carl Kerby

VP for Ministry Relations, Answers in Genesis– US

Carl Kerby is a founding board member of Answers in Genesis and one of AiG’s most dynamic lecturers on the book of Genesis. In addition to being AiG’s vice president for Ministry Relations, Carl conducts a number of faith-building meetings each year.

Carl became a Christian in 1987 after attending a crusade in Salt Lake City, Utah. He grew up in a very liberal church and in a family that was involved in the wild world of professional wrestling. He had been taught that evolution could just be added to the Bible, but in the late 1980s a pilot challenged Carl on the creation/ evolution issue. After personal Bible study and reading Ken Ham’s book, The Lie: Evolution, Carl’s faith was totally renewed. He now knew that God’s Word is true from the beginning.

Carl served in the military for 8 years as an air traffic controller. He then worked for the FAA as an air traffic controller, spending the last 10 years of his career at Chicago’s busy O’Hare International Airport. Carl joined AiG full-time in 2004.

Dr. Jason Lisle

Dr. Jason Lisle

Speaker, researcher, and writer, Answers in Genesis– US

B.S., physics and astronomy, Ohio Wesleyan University; MS and Ph.D., astrophysics, University of Colorado at Boulder

Dr. Jason Lisle graduated summa cum laude from Ohio Wesleyan University where he double-majored in physics and astronomy. He earned his Master’s degree and Ph.D. in astrophysics from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Jason’s area of specialty in graduate school was solar astrophysics.

Dr. Lisle was raised in a Christian home, and because his family believed in the authority and accuracy of the Bible, he had little difficulty in dealing with the evolutionary bombardment he received in school. At the university, Jason discovered that scientists are usually not aware of their presuppositions, and when the evidence is properly interpreted, it always supports the biblical account of creation.

Dr. Lisle is now helping Answers in Genesis (and the creation movement as a whole) refute the evolutionary account of origins. He is also helping design exciting planetarium programs for the future Creation Museum in Northern Kentucky (near Cincinnati, Ohio).

Dr. Terry Mortenson

Dr. Terry Mortenson

Speaker, researcher, and writer, Answers in Genesis– US

B.A., math, University of Minnesota; M. Div., Trinity Evangelical Divinity School; Ph.D., history of geology, Coventry University, England

He has spoken to various kinds of audiences (young children, teens, university students, lay people, professors) in various settings (homes, churches, schools, university classrooms and public lecture halls) and in many countries (America, England, Russia and most countries of Eastern Europe).
