“The ICCs have been the premier creationist venue for dissemination of quality research because of the high standards and the caliber of the contributors. Many major advances in building the Creation model have been reported at past ICCs. The fellowship and discussions over meals have aided ongoing research efforts. So, this is a must-attend conference!”
—Dr. Andrew Snelling, AiG-U.S.
Did you know that two leading creationist organizations are only a five-hour drive from each other, and that each offers a special summer vacation opportunity for one particular special week in August?
Consider a visit to AiG’s acclaimed high-tech Creation Museum near Cincinnati, Ohio, this August and then take in the world’s premier creation conference for serious students of the creation/evolution debate. The Sixth International Conference on Creationism in Pittsburgh, August 3–7, will feature more than 40 presentations of original peer-reviewed papers by the world’s leading creation science researchers and speakers. This includes Dr. Andrew Snelling of AiG, who has twice won the award for best technical paper at prior ICC conferences.
The ICC is hosted every 4–5 years by the Pittsburgh-based organization Creation Science Fellowship. With the theme “Developing and Systematizing the Creation Model of Origins,” this conference will showcase original papers distributed among the five ICC theme categories:
- Foundations of Science
- Life Sciences
- Stellar and Planetary Sciences
- Earth Sciences
- Social Sciences and the Humanities
The following list represents a sample of the many excellent paper abstracts that have been accepted:
- “The ‘Eve’ Mitochondrial Consensus Sequence”—Dan Criswell, William Carter, and John Sanford
- “Ocean Circulation Trends Over the Continents During Noah’s Flood”—Raj Prabhu, John Baumgardner, Mark Horstemeyer, and Wes Brewer
- “The Creation of Cosmic Magnetic Fields”—Russ Humphreys
The evening sessions (free admission) are somewhat less technical and should be stimulating for those who have had some exposure to creation teaching. One of these sessions will feature Dr. Snelling.
Go to http://www.icc08.org/ for details. If you’re a serious student of creation/evolution, this conference is a must-attend.
